Grand Tour of Morocco

I was finally able to visit Morocco, a country that had been on my top 10 list for years. My desire to visit the country began after I saw the classic movie, Casablanca. As I watched the dynamic and diverse characters traverse through Rick’s CafĂ© American and the story unfold, I knew that one day I would visit Morocco. From there I wanted to know more and experience the countries culture, people, and food of Morocco.

In mid-November 2014, I left for Casablanca, the doorway to an adventure, years in the making. My husband and I, along with a group of fellow adventures traveled across Morocco, taking roads that led to Fes and through the Atlas mountains, across the Sahara on the backs of camels, to the cities of Ouarzazate, and Marrakesh. I was amazed by the culture, the people, and the food, Morocco has so much to offer for every kind of traveler!

A group bonding in a weaving studio in Fes. What a fun day, even though it rained, we had a blast!

Join me as I share my Moroccan adventure with you, over the next few weeks!

Venice - romantic, unique and like nowhere else in the world! Your first inkling that this place is not like anywhere else is when you arrive at Piazzale Roma to find your water taxi. Somehow all these gorgeous mahogany boats manage to jockey into position to pick up their passengers.
It is so congested you cannot believe you will be able to get onboard before another taxi manages to slip into the spot and push your boat out. But it all magically works and soon you are making your way to the docks at your hotel. We spent two days and two nights in Venice at the Londra Palace on the Grand Canal and it was wonderful!
